The project is a kind of SWT-training and an attempt to create poor analog to the Magic Mail Monitor 3 (http://mmm3.sourceforge.net/). The main moving force behind the effort is kind of "cloning" MMM3 functionality to Java to support multiple platforms.
The program is basically a simple monitor allowing its user to monitor multiple POP3 and IMAP inboxes with future support of emails preview (and, potentially, other cool features of the MMM3).
The code is open-sourced, it"s Eclipse SWT + JavaMail-based.
The build system (if you"re interested in building it from the sources) is Maven.
