BigBlobbby is a better GUI (Graphical User Interface) for the CCV (Community Core Vision) blob (fingertip) detection program for multi-touch surfaces. The BigBlobby GUI was written with the Qt framework and placed in front of CCV version 1.3 for Windows.
The CCV program is primarily used for custom-built multi-touch tables that use a video projector and an infrared camera below the touch surface. CCV processes the camera images to identify fingertip movements, and then broadcasts the touch events as TUIO (Tangible User Interface Object) messages that can be picked up by other programs such as video games (see Figure 1).
