This simple script will install the summon arm toolchain (https://github.com/esden/summon-arm-toolchain),the lm4tools (https://github.com/utzig/lm4tools) and the D2XX driver(http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm) needed for code composer 5 plus all their necessary dependencies.
This has been tested on linuxmint 14 (4 Jan 2013) with D2xx v1.1.12
Make sure you run script with root privileges (ie. sudo ./stellaris_ubuntu_install.sh)
