WordPress MU(Multiuser) is the multi-user version of WordPress, the popular blog/cms tool. BuddyPress takes this one step further by making a social network of it, providing messaging and other tools with the blog already in place, making each person"s blog a member page.
For an example of it in action, check out
http://chickspeak.com. It"s built using some of the same core code and integrates with bbpress.

I"m having trouble finding any time to work on BuddyPress so I"ve decided to hand over what I have to the community for help.
There are three Wordpress MU plugins here, each should be dropped into the "mu-plugins" folder. The "core" plugin should also be used, and is required for all the other plugins to work.
