This simple bash script helps in parametrization of deployment packages into different environments: development, test, quality assurance, production etc. The idea behind is to be able to parametrize any file independently of used technology – something that will work with java classes and properties files as well as with bash scripts, with sql/ddl scripts and any text file.
One can parametrize releases with host names, ports, url’s depending on the environement.
The download includes an example.
