Executable WAR maven archetype is an archetype which provide you to develop an executable war.
The latest version is 0.1.2.
What is Executable WAR?
When you make some web applications, you have to deploy them to servers (g.e. Tomcat). Executable WAR has an Servlet container, which is Jetty , in itself.
You can run the web application with out deployment such as below.
java -jar war-file-name.war
Basically, it is exact war, so you can deploy the application as well.
