Todo list is not just a reminder. When it grows over time, the historical data will become useful. For example, a weekly shopping list can be reused. To do list can also evolve to a long term planner. A goal can be broken down into small pieces, and a new daily todo list becomes a simple sub-goals which is easier to accomplish.
By managing the todo list over a period of time, life is much more organized, habitual, easier, and productive.
