A basic subnet, netmask, IP and conversion tool written in Python.
Current features:
- Convert dotted-decimal to dotted-binary IP
- Convert dotted-binary to dotted-decimal IP
- Class and license information display
- Display of netmask based on input
Have a look on http://www.jodies.de/ipcalc to see what I"m "cloning" (clean room, without the source).
I will add more features than just those though:
- As much as possible from jodies.de/ipcalc
- networking tools such as ping, tracert, ... (hopefully, depends on my "l337" programming skillz :)
- Decimal-hexadecimal-binary converter, ...
Version numbers:
The first number denotes a major update or that the sum of the second digit has reached 9+1
The second number is for minor updates - but not always sequential, note the updates from version 1.1 to 2.0
When editing the TCP/IP settings through this tool is possible, it will only be possible in Windows XP (other versions if they have the same registry lay-out)
