This project is dead, as K-Net ( www.k-net.dk ) now has a solution that doesn"t require an authentication client.
A client authentication utility for the dormitories near the Technical University of Denmark.
Authentication is achieved using a PTY-less SSH connection.
At the moment, the Python version using Paramiko is in focus. Portable threads are easy in Python. Standalone apps can be created using freeze on Linux, py2app on OS-X, and py2exe on Windows.
