Based on Biopython this short script downloads all the sequences associated with a particular NCBI search and generates a fasta format file.
Originally written to generate a fasta file corresponding to the proteome of a specific taxon - but can be easily changed to incorporate any specific search to download only a subset of a proteome for your application.
