This project is a simple pan-tilt-zoom platform for consumer videocameras, including:
* mechanical hardware design
* control circuitry design
* desktop control application
User can control the movement of the PTZ platform using either an IR remote control (from a TV, for example) or via a desktop application.
The physical platform is constructed from easily obtainable and worked 6mm ABS plastic sheet.
Motion is accomplished with generic R/C servos.
Control circuitry is based on an Arduino Microcontroller with attached daughter board.
Desktop control application is written in Python and Tkinter for cross-platform compatibility.
