The existing Clear Climate Code implementation of GISTEMP is ported to use MapReduce as a part of the Programming Abstraction for Dynamic, Distributed, Data-intensive computing (3DPAS) project.
The Clear Climate Code implementation of GISTEMP (ccc-gistemp) is written in Python and ccc-gistemp-0.6.1 is used as a base code in this project.

Python MapReduce framework mrjob is used to write and run Hadoop streaming jobs. Version 0.2.6 of mrjob is currently used in this project.
