This project was originally created for a science fair in 2010. It utilizes the Tesseract-OCR engine to read a math worksheet from a connected scanner (accessed by the SANE library), then it is parsed and solved using the custom made classes and plug-ins. Currently, the only type of equations supported are quadratics (find the root), addition and subtraction. The program was fully programmed in the Python programming language. This is more of a proof-of-concept type of program, and not really aimed at the general public.
Note that this program is NOT fully functional and CAN crash. You have been warned.
