Timer and Counter Module (TCM)
The project comprises a microcontroller-based timer and
counter module (TCM), featuring logic impulse acquisition, and a Matlab graphical user interface to display the acquired information. Program implementation includes a 65536 increment counter and a timer ranging from 100ms to 6553.6s. Experimental results demonstrated that the TCM yields a reproducible logic impulse acquisition for frequencies up to 500kHz and widths ranging from 5s to 30ns. The developed TCM was shown to have equivalent performance to the commercially available CCNIMs.
