JED - Java Event Distribution
JED combines two google code projects, javaEventing and UdpInvoker to enable event distribution across JVMs and machines within a network. JavaEventing is a simple and flexible solution for synchronous and asynchronous event handling in Java, and UdpInvoker is a UDP multicast-based library for remote method invocation and publish/subscribe. JED combines the two to enable easy, zero-config event distribution for your Java applications.
JED extends javaEventing through its extension API, so no modifications are done to the javaEventing library. This means seamless compatibility with future versions of javaEventing. UdpInvoker is also used without modifications.
JED is used exactly as you would use javaEventing, with the exception that you would listen for and trigger DistributedEvent objects insted of Event objects. See the Ja
