This layer can be extended to any language you want. Right now it only covers MySQL and partial SQLite.
It is MUCH faster than ezSQL, PEAR, and ADOdb.
This class is optimized for blogs, article and news sites, and any site not requiring advanced JOINS and DB operations (though they can still be done).
