Portable Document Format (PDF) is a platform-independent electronic representation of a two-dimensional document, which conventionally has been the final form for digital document interchange in the last decade. In order to create and modify PDF more easily as well as to incorporate PDF natively into modern XML-based workflows of the digital document processing, Adobe Lab has developed an innovative
document format called PDFXML. This new format tried to represent the PDF document in an XML-friendly way by combining some standard formats such as SVG, PNG, JPG and OpenType.
