The Solar hijri or hijri shamsi calendar is the official calendar of Afghanistan and Iran and alternative calendar in Tajikistan and Kazakhustan. The hijri calendar as other calendars uses 12 months a year, the first six months have 31 days, the next five have 30, and last month has 29 days in usual years but 30 days in leap years.
Hijri Shamsi/Solar calendar was officially adopted in Afghanistan in 1992 with different names of the month, The Dari Persian and the Pashto Languages of the Afghanistan. The Hijri Shamsi/Solar is the official calendar of the government of Afghanistan, and all national holidays and administrative issues are fixed according to the Hijri Shamsi/Solar calendar.
