Containment started as a Visual Basic 6 program originally and implemented the basic ISO9960 structure system. The idea came from a Dreamcast development that releases homebrew compilations that contain DMCA related information.
The idea went a lot further into what is a program called Containment.
Containment uses CRC checksums to zero out (null) DMCA information and copy (bind) DMCA information (such as verified ROM dumps) back into these containers.
There is no plans for compressed containers at the moment.
