Introduction
Vicarious Downloader is an AIR application started by Dylan Janeke, and written using the Flex Framework. The vision is to have a easy managed and tracked way to watch TV Shows, the idea is to implement a multi-threaded download manager, and a proper video player for streaming these shows.
The Name
The application has undergone a few name changes from SidereelManager to AIRDownloader, and now Vicarious(experienced in the imagination through the feelings or actions of another person) Downloader, and this name is subject to change again in the future, unfortunately the abbreviation does not make any sense, but VD didn"t work, so VI was the next choice.
