The idea is a DVR to play back Tweets time-shifted, but at original real-time, to coincide with watching a time-shifted live event. In Brian"s case, the use-case was Nascar races.
Brian wanted to watch the Twitter stream of his "home timeline" time-shifted to match the Nascar race playing on his DVR. He couldn"t interact with his friends, but he could see their commentary delivered synced up with the recorded TV program playback.
The tools support Pause and Fast-forward to keep the Twitter stream synced up with the live recorded video. The current "time cursor" is shown to make it easier to match the video and the Twitter stream.
