The University of Queensland developed the GBR-CAT (Great Barrier Reef - Climate Analysis Tools) system to host and share Great Barrier Reef coral related data generated by researchers at the University of Queensland Centre for Marine Studies, their collaborators in community groups and in the government agencies.

The GBR-CAT project has been funded by the Australian National Data Service (ANDS, http://ands.org.au). ANDS is supported by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy Program and the Education Investment Fund (EIF) Super Science Initiative.
