I made a project used this type of configuration file which is apache httpd.conf-like,maybe it have been in apache project yet,but im glad share with you and hope to help you.
Suppose your project used a configure file named "xxx.conf",its content structure shows like:
# max timeouttimeout = 20 language = en # default language
Then in your source file you can read configures like this when used this library
CONF_ITEM* ctx = init();read_config(ctx,"xxx.conf");char* language = get_config(ctx,"language");...int timeout = atoi(get_config(ctx,"timeout"));...
