wgtext is an implementation of gettext for Microsoft Windows which aims to be API compatible with GNU gettext. The project is written in C.
GNU gettext has been found to be overly cumbersome to port to Windows and the project developers have removed support for building gettext using the microsoft toolchain. Given the situation, a fresh and clean re-implementation of gettext is preferred.
