TZOS is a computer application that allows different type of users to deal with multilingual terms. The system assists users defining, searching, managing and maintaining terms. Although any user can, anywhere and anytime, look for a term, only authorized users can propose new terms, edit terms, discuss about a term status or even decide a term status. The main characteristics of TZOS are:
• It is designed as a web application for both searching and managing terms.
• The TMX (Translation Memory eXchange) standard is used to represent terminological information.
• It provides an advanced term management system: different user roles (i.e. term proposals, supervisors) are identified, term collision is automatically detected, and a discussion forum is provided.
• It is possible both to import and to export dictionaries.
• It is a multilingual term management application.
