met.a is a FireFox? extension which will embed relevant data into the metadata of an image file upon download: Stuff like the Title of the webpage and the URL (to provide a reference point for the image). met.a will also embed any highlighted text from the webpage.
All this allows for those images to be searched for a lot easier with humanly understood information now encapsulated in the image on a users HDD. It also brings meaning to the images and provides a way to go back to the point of original location.
met.a works on Mac OS X, Windows Vista and Linux
