The Egg project represents the conditions for using conversational machines.
Egg technology represents the possibility for clients to have conversations with artefacts whatever
1)the digital technology accessible in the environment is (it can be the web, different operating systems, blue tooth and mobiles devices, etc)
2)the objects which are expected to have conversations( it can be a web document, a computer, a chair, a library, ..)
The egg is semantic because its role is to install conversations. Egg defines
-1 conversation events signaling the presence of a conversation (e.g. an history of a conversation between objects and humans, or between objects) ,
-2 environment where conversation can happen (e.g. an object enabling the communication between the environment and the conversational machine),
-3 and engine where conversation can be materialized (e.g. a way to capture and represent information during conversation).
