This utility is built primarily to facilitate the physical to virtual migration process of Windows sytems. Typically, the device list of a physical host is significantly larger than that of a hosted virtual machine, and the conversion process leaves significant amounts of orphaned devices, which consume resources.
The will source out the majority of non-present devices, remove them and create a log of the devices that have been removed.
