The Snippet-Tool produces markup (i.e. coordinates) of individual Chinese characters and stores it in an XML-database. It was developed with the project "Visual Data bank of Sutras Engraved on Rocks in Shandong Province", hosted by the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and generously founded by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange.
