The Simple Model Wrapper (SMW) is a tool developed at the University of South Carolina, to enable the rapid prototyping of process-level OpenMI components. It is developed as an abstract class that inherits the IEngine interface (part of the OpenMI 1.4 Standard Development Kit), and reduces it to three methods: Initialize, Perform Time Step, and Finish. These three methods represent the pre-run, runtime, and post-run phases of the model simulation.
