OpenCDS (Open Content Delivery System) is thought of as a slide-show delivery and control system for the “One Laptop Per Child” project (runnable on the XO machine). To adapt the application to its target (primary and secondary education) we want to implement two modules, one for the student (client application) and one for the teacher (server application), synchronizing them through the machine"s wireless networking abilities.
Usefulness
it"s the first content delivery system for slide-shows with synchronization between the two modules (student and teacher) for the XO machine – there are two alternatives to it: either projecting on a big screen or running a VNC server on the teacher machine and having students connect remotely.
