What is Goast?
Goast is an open source project to create an easy to work with, collaborative, web-based editor for biological sequence alignment data.
Project Goals
By its nature scientific research is a collaborative effort - with researchers from all over the world often working together on the same project. Although other alignment tools exist, Goast tries to take advantage of the collaborative qualities of the internet to allow multiple geographically dispersed groups to easily and efficiently work on the same data.
