Our client, Dr. Workman, is deciding what to do with his extra time, now that he is approaching retirement. Going down his list, he chooses “Trip to Las Vegas” as his first choice. He chooses to play only Roulette, as this is his favorite game. In order to win the most money on his trip, Dr. Workman has asked family, friends, and colleagues their best Roulette strategies. So far, he"s decided on three possible strategies to maximize his winnings:
The first strategy is to bet on numbers that have a history of winning, or to bet on “hot numbers”.
The second strategy is to bet on neighbors of cold numbers, that is, numbers adjacent on the wheel to numbers that have not won frequently.
The third strategy is to place a 1:1 payout bet and to double the size of that bet when it loses. For example, place a bet on odds and double your bet until it wins.
