Funnelr provides a unified browsing experience incorporating file names and hierarchies, text and image content, and time of creation. This enables users to "funnel" data according to several criteria in order to arrive at the content of interest.
The search mechanisms are data-specific: timelines for time of creation, term frequency-based text tags for text, clustering based on color and extent for images, and hierarchy for data imported from file systems.
Funnelr also retains the PhotoSet structures associated with content imported from flickr.com. Just as Funnelr provides users with the ability to search objects by text content, it also provides users a mechanism to search image objects based on color content. Users can also organize content into user-defined “albums” of objects. These albums can then be used to filter the set of objects on the timeline.
