the mtools package, originally authored by J.P.Knight@lut.ac.uk and modified by 29west.com, now available as open source with improved functionality.
mdump:
Program to dump the contents of all datagrams arriving on a specified
multicast address and port. The dump gives both the hex and ASCII
equivalents of the datagram payload.
mpong:
Program to do ping-pong round-trip latency measurements using multicast.
msend:
Program to send multicast packets in flexible ways to test multicast networks.
