Overview
The DarwinCore Feed Builder (DFB) is developed at the University of California at Berkeley. It generates and then syndicates RSS and Atom web feeds that describe changes in DwC records served by individual TAPIR resources.
The primary use case this system addresses is the syndication of DwC record changes (insert, update, delete operations). Applications will be able to subscribe to this feed to monitor changes in DwC records served by a resource.
As an example, an aggregator program might cache several resource inventories using TAPIR, and then keep the cache synchronized by subscribing to the feeds that describe changes to records in those inventories.
Implementation
The web client and server code are built using PHP 5 and SQLite.
